so they way I read it, 1 Cor. 5-6 are a direct contridiction of 1Cor 4. Do not judge in 4, then he says we should judge in 5-6???
ReplyDeleteI think Paul judges all of the time. He has very definite opinions about people--whether it is Apollos or whether it is people who aren't behaving correctly.
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't want you to judge him because his authority comes from God.
The determining factor for whether or not judgment is appropriate is this--does the behavior in question build up or tear down the body of Christ?
